Buttons and Bows

This is our theme over on SPA this week. My mate Anne is hosting..... what an ideal theme for her as her Granddaughter is called BOW

I've gone down the sewing route for this one. Using handmade backgrounds and rubberstamps and adding collage images from LisasAlteredArt.... (the bows are from ART TEA Life on etsy)

Ta Dah! and Prom night

 Here is the finished blanket of mine. I began making squares when I first learnt to crochet and I happened upon them one day and so I decided to make them into a blanket. I had to make a whole heap more squares , but it kept me busy whilst watching stuff on TV.  Lily has absconded with it.

 Amber had her prom night last Thursday. She got a little blue 1950's style dress, which suits her so much.

A right royal bird

Here's my project for That's Crafty this week. I'm rather pleased with it. The clock has a stand on the back and everything! lol

Blue Monday

Keeping busy

I've been trying to keep busy but it's been hard. I just keep thinking of poor little Diego.

This started as a 'keep busy' project for Sunday Stamper.... use Blue.  Which then turned into my project for Happy Daze and I've just seen the theme on Simon Says Stamp and Show is travel which I think because of the words I can use this piece for that too :-)

R.I.P DIEGO

On Friday evening, we had a knock at the door, our little baby boy kitty Diego had been knocked down and killed, right outside our house.
To say the least, we are all devastated. We had watched and helped Gomez give birth to him and we had cared for him since her was born.
He was such a sassy little thing. Very cheeky but such a soppy boy. He followed our ginger cat around so much, he wanted to be just like him.
Only 15 minutes before this happened I was watching him play in the garden.
Poor Diego, he will be missed greatly. I'll miss my crochet buddy, he always sat next to me.
